About Refund.id
Refund.id is a two-part educational resource. The first half helps U.S. taxpayers understand the deductions and credits people commonly miss, how amended returns work, and how to check a refund's status. The second half helps consumers understand their general rights around store returns, chargebacks, subscription cancellations, and airline or hotel refunds.
What we do
We publish plain-English guides, offer a free AI Tax Refund Maximizer that produces a general, educational list of commonly-missed deductions and credits based on your situation, and provide an AI assistant that answers general questions about tax refunds and consumer refund rights. We connect visitors who may have a consumer-protection legal issue with independent, licensed attorneys for a free case review.
What we don't do
We are not a law firm and not an accounting or tax-preparation firm. We do not provide tax advice or legal advice, and we never calculate, promise, or guarantee a specific dollar refund amount. Our tools produce general, educational output only — always confirm your specific situation with a licensed tax professional, the IRS, or an attorney.
How we're funded
Refund.id earns revenue through tax-prep and financial-service affiliate partnerships (including TurboTax, H&R Block, and Credit Karma), Amazon Associate links, and by referring visitors with consumer-protection issues to independent attorneys, some of whom may compensate us for the referral. See our Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure for details.
